Health obsesses people, especially those living in countries
where their inhabitants are the healthiest they have ever been.
Health services exist in all of the countries on earth in one form
or another. They are generally talked of in pretty dour terms,
presumably because they deal in life and death issues. Of course
they may not be having much impact on those things, for the main
reasons that people are so healthy in developed countries is little
to do with their health services, but a lot to do with their wealth
and education. Perhaps because of this the amount of quackery and
good old-fashioned crookery to be found in health services,
continues unabated. Some organisations are doing their best to hold
back the flood of idiocy, notably
